Past event | Fireside Chat & Farewell Reception of Ambassador Frank Grütter

We had the pleasure of hosting an evening in honour of Ambassador Frank Grütter as we prepare for his upcoming departure from Singapore.

The evening began with an insightful fireside chat with the Swiss Ambassador, reflecting on Switzerland’s and Singapore’s roles as small states navigating today’s increasingly polarised global landscape. Moderated by Julie Raneda, President of SwissCham, the conversation explored diplomacy, resilience, and opportunities for collaboration in uncertain times. 

It was also particularly meaningful to hear him share some of his most memorable moments in Singapore, as well as his perspectives on his upcoming role and the continued importance of multilateralism.

Following the discussion, the reception offered guests a warm moment to connect, bid farewell, and celebrate Ambassador Grütter’s distinguished service and valuable contributions to Swiss–Singapore relations.

As he concludes his posting in Singapore at the end of April, Ambassador Grütter will take up his new assignment as Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations in New York.

We warmly thank him for his close collaboration with SwissCham and wish him every success in this next chapter.
